Sir Roger Moore as Simon Templar in The Saint with 1962 Volvo P1800
The original 1962 Volvo P1800 coupe used in the TV series "The Saint" driven by Roger Moore. The car was found rotting on a farm in North Wales in 1991. Kevin Price persuaded the owner to sell it to him in 1997 and then spent the next 10 years collecting parts and then another six years restoring it completing it in 2013. Four more P1800's were used in the series (between 1962 and 1969). But this is the first and original car used. Roger Moore personally drove a white P1800 during the series as well (supplied by Volvo).
Although four more P1800s, one of which was used by Sir Roger personally, were later supplied by Volvo, this one registered as 71 DXC – is the original.
Volvo designer Pelle Petterson takes a drive in Sir Roger Moore's P1800 as a fitting tribute to the actor.
